Christmas 2009

Christmas in Florida. I'm still loving it! For Christmas eve dinner, I tried to replicate the pasta with olive oil and garlic and broccoli that Louie makes. It didn't come near it!

We went for a walk around the neighborhood at about 9:30 or so. First we headed up Locust St NE up to Coffee Pot Bayou. We back tracked to 18th Ave NE.

I thought we were in Indiana for a minute when we saw this lamp, major award in the window! Fragile . . . must be from Italy.

18th Ave NE had these luminaries stretched all the way from Locust to Tampa Bay, about 4 or 5 blocks on both sides of the street. It was quiet impressive.

Live poinsettias line the sidewalk . . .

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care . . .

Johnny joined us for dinner.

Salad by Johnny.

Johnny brought some cookies too. One on my new neighbors in my apartment building left a little gift of cookies at all of our doors.

After dinner, Wayne and I went to visit Linda and Frank, neighbors from a couple of blocks away. We had a fun time talking and drinking sangria.
