Celebrating Adele at Thirty!

Adele celebrated her 30th Birthday on Sunday.  I met her on Monday morning, at Disney's Boardwalk Resort.
We took the boat over to Hollywood Studios to begin our celebration.  On the way, we snacked on chocolate truffles that Wayne had made.  A nice sweet start to the day!

The Hollywood Tower Hotel was our first stop.

We were planning on a leisurely brunch at the garden restaurant on the roof, but ran into a snag with our elevator.

Fortunately, I had my 'recorder' on me and I 'taped' our harrowing ride!

We caught the drum show at the Japan showcase.
Then headed to Italy for a 'Primavera' smoothie and enjoyed the vestito di rosso donne danzati.

The Flower & Garden Festival is underway at Epcot.  We visited the butterfly tent next.

Next, we headed to Germany.  We had reservations for the dinner buffet at the Biergarten Restaurant at 4 PM. I had to practice my yodel before we went into the Biergarten.

Our reservations were at the earliest seating for dinner, and that worked to our advantage.  The crowd was small, and we had no waits at the buffet tables!  Our table was right down in front next to the dance floor.
We shared our table with Steve and Elizabeth, a very nice couple from Tennessee.  I think we all had a good time!

When the band started playing, they sang Happy Birthday to Adele.  And later, when they wheeled the bell table onto the dance floor, Adele remarked, "Oh!  My favorite part!"  He heard her and brought Adele and I out onto the floor to help play the bells!  He said, we have Adele, and instead of Richard, I am going to call you Weiss (vice), and we're going to play Edelweiss (Adele Vice).  Ouch!

As we went out, I handed my camera to Steve and asked if he would take some pictures.  So a big shout out to Steve!  He asked Elizabeth to record the number on their smart phone, and it came out great!  As soon as they get home, I will get a copy from them and post it.
After the show, this guy came over to our table and said that they only pull someone from the audience, maybe once a month, and most of the time it's a disaster.  He said that our performance was amazing!

When we left, our tummies were full, so we decided a leisurely walk around the World Showcase was in order!

We stopped by the England Showcase to catch this group, British Revolution.  They were phenominal, doing covers of British groups from different decades.  We caught three of their shows, all different!
Adele getting into the 1982 groove!
Then we headed over to Future World to meet up with Adele's friend Jean.  She got us backstage passes to meet some characters.

Aren't we just goofy?!!!  What a fun day it was!  Happy 30th Adele!!!

Main Sail Arts Fest & The Rocky Horror Show

The weather on Saturday did not look promising for our attendance at the American Stage's production of The Rocky Horror Show at Demens Landing.  There was a heavy rain until mid afternoon.  Fortunately, it cleared for the evening after 4:00 PM.  We had a beautiful night for theater in the park! The rain did not return until after midnight!

We went with Evan and Lonnie, who were in town for a long weekend.  The show was LOTS of fun!  Some changes from the movie, but very entertaining!
[These pics are from my cell phone.]

After the show we met Joe and Pete and Dave and Kevin and Bryan and Dave at Georgie's for a nightcap.

The sun kept playing peek a boo on Sunday.  Out most of the time, but every so often, a rain cloud would come by and empty.  We headed down to Vinoy Park for the Main Sail Arts Festival.

We met up with the gang around 1:30 PM.

The glass in this booth was my favorite of all the booths.  Romeo Glass: The website is here.

Evan and Lonnie take a break.  This will be their new home in the fall!

Three words:  My - tee - fine!  The new Wayne!

It was a beautiful afternoon after all!

I met up with Janet and her granddaughter Kai for dinner.  They were in St. Pete to attend "One Night of Queen" at the Mahaffey Theater.  We went for Chinese.  I love Moo Shu Pork!
