Sunset Beach Morning

On Tuesday morning I went to the beach for a couple of hours. I was the first one on the beach, arriving around 9:45 am.

I was surprised to find that the waves had eroded a good chunk of the beach since we were there last week. There is now a drop off. Where I was sitting, the drop off was almost 2 feet!!!

A brief interlude. It was windy so it's kinda noisy!

Last Summer Weekend - 2009

I can't believe that Summer 2009 is over! I am glad that lots of stuff will be kicking into gear though. The Saturday Morning Market starts up on the first weekend in October. And there are lots of festivals going on. Then there's the Hallowe'en decorations and Christmas. Oh, and no snow. :-)

On Saturday afternoon Wayne arrived with fixings for some white sangria. A perfect day for it! And he made potato wedges with crème fraîche and pesto dip. Another oink oink!

On Saturday night we went down to Gulfport to check out the bi monthly Art Walk. It was a beautiful night, but relatively quiet there.

A Late Summer Morning Walk

I didn't have to go into work until 12:15 today, so decided to take a walk to enjoy the beautiful morning weather. I walked up to Coffee Pot Bayou, north of me, and then over to Tampa Bay, along the Bay into the park downtown near the Vinoy Resort. It was beautiful and sunny with a nice breeze.

On my way back, I passed this house. It was one of the homes featured in the Old NE Garden Tour the first year I lived here. The bell flowers looked so nice that I decided to walk the 2 blocks back to my apartment and get my camera.

While I was taking the pictures, the owner came home. He said that I should come back around midnight because they smelled nice then. Let's see if I'm awake then!

Last Sunday night Wayne made another pepperoni and cheese pizza. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!

And one night last week we decided to make a meal out of a loaf of Italian bread and some tomato basil sauce along with some sangria.

Labor Day Weekend

On Saturday we went to Joe's and Chuck's for a Labor Day Weekend gathering. Wayne and I brought the cheese, veggie and fruit hors d'oeuvres.

On Sunday afternoon, we went to The Flamingo for the Sunday afternoon "Tea Dance". The resort had it's grand opening last weekend. The place was packed with everyone checking it out. We went to meet Mike, who was celebrating his birthday.

Wayne and Mike.

On Sunday night Wayne made pizza, all from scratch. It was delicious!!!
