Financial Aid, Falafel and Vinoy Park

I got out of work at 12:30 today. I had received a voice mail from Gina regarding a financial aid form for me to fill for the next school year, so the first thing I did when I got back to my apartment was to put in a couple loads of laundry and get to work on that form. By the time my laundry was done and folded, the form was complete, except for one item. Yahoo!

And, since I moved here two and a half years ago, I've been wanting to find someplace that serves falafel. Someone had recently told me about Cafe Bohemia on Central Avenue near 10th Street. I had been there once, shortly after I had moved here. So, I decided to check it out. There were three menu items with falafel: what I call "meatball style" in a wrap, in a salad, and as a patty, sort of like a hamburger. I opted for the wrap. I also had a glass of white wine, and sat in the courtyard. First picture is my car, parked in the 45 degree parking space on Central. I remember when I was growing up, that Central Avenue in Albany used to have the 45 degree parking. Anyhow, I digress. The falafel was delicious. My only complaint was that I would like more of the fa lafel itself in the wrap. However, all of the ingredients were very fresh and tasty!
Then I took a ride over to Vinoy Park to my favorite bench to just sit and relax and people watch. Since many were just getting out of work, there were lots of doggies out for walks!

I still can't believe that I live here! As I was sitting here, the Rascals tune, " Groovin' " kept playing in my head.
