Fort De Soto - Tampa Bay

After a brutal day at work on Tuesday, it being the first banking day after a 3 day holiday weekend, and it also being the first of the month, and the air conditioning being off, I was fortunate enough to have Wednesday off.  So?  Off to the beach!  This time, Fort De Soto.  The following are some pictures of different areas of the park.  Beautiful and relaxing!  This post from November 12, 2007, shows pictures from my first visit there shortly after I moved to St. Pete.

This is the Gulf Pier.  That's a lighthouse in th distance.
This was such a surreal sight.  That tower seemed to just float out there.  This scene almost reminds me of a Dali painting, only no melting clocks.

This is looking from the Gulf Pier, up towards North Beach.
This guy has his eye on a bucket of bait!

This shot is looking up towards North Beach, taken from the top of the fort.
This shot is from the beach near the Bay Pier, looking towards the Dog Beach.

This shot is from near the Bay Pier, the Sunshine Skyway is in the distance.
