A Craving for Fish and Chips

Wayne learned of a new place opening up about 6 blocks from my apartment. It's the Three Birds Tavern. It was formerly Limey's. They were having their grand opening on Friday night, and one of their specials was Fish and Chips. We have a standing joke about Fish and Chips on a Friday night. A while back, we went to one of the Frenchy's in Clearwater and wanted to get some fish and chips, and it was on a Friday night. We were informed that they didn't serve it on Friday night, but did on Saturday night. So, needless to say, we were speechless when we saw that Three Birds Tavern was having fish and chips as a special. When we drove by the place, it was jammed packed. We would have had to park in Terre Haute and hiked back.

So, being able to almost taste fish and chips, we dicided to check out The Moon Under Water in downtown St. Pete. They claim "Best Fish & Chips in Town!". I ate there in December 2007 when the girls visited for the Christmas holiday.
We enjoyed it a lot! Wayne got the Fish and Chips, but I went for a tofu and vegetable curry dish. (I look like a walleyed salmon! I must have used a wide angle lens.) We thought about going to Paciugo for gelato, a couple of doors away, but there was absolutely no room left in the tummy. Besides, the line at Paciugo stretched right out the door!

This shot is of the full moon, taken from in front of my apartment building.
