Saturday was a beautiful day . . . in the low 80s and sunny. We took a walk around Coffee Pot Bayou and then went to the Weedon Island Preserve, which is located just north of where I live. Up 4th Street North and over Gandy Blvd., near the Dog Track. 
It's a great place. There are paths and raised walkways throughout the park, and kayak 'trails'. We spent a couple of hours wandering around.
This is the foundation ruins from an airport tower that used to be there years back.
